About Us

Our house in the first part of 2010

For twenty-five years, New Beginnings Home has been available to help young mothers who have chosen life for their babies. Do you know someone who is facing an unplanned pregnancy who perhaps is alone, rejected or just needs a place to live? New Beginnings is a safe haven where unconditional love and friendship are the norm and woman can plan what is best for themselves and their babies while having their physical and emotional needs cared for. A woman finding herself pregnant without a strong support base can be frightened, not knowing where to turn. There are unique challenges to be addressed and there are no easy answers. Single parenting, adoption, marriage – what is best? Yet when these options are considered and walked through in a loving environment, each carries a hope and a future for both mom and child.

New Beginnings Home is just as its name describes – a home. The home is nestled in a peaceful rural setting in Western Washington and is beautiful! You will live with house parents and their family and other pregnant woman.

One big family!

All programs and activities are carefully planned to ensure an environment where opportunity is provided to accomplish academic goals, to receive emotional support, and to obtain guidance for future plans. Having fun together is also a key ingredient! The local YMCA is available to all residents for recreation and exercise, and an obstetrics doctor will care for any woman who does not have a doctor. Birthing classes as well as help with life skills are also offered. The house parents at New Beginnings get to know each young mother and help them according to their individual need.

Choices are never easy, but exploring options and planning for the future are essential to both mom and baby. Any woman coming to New Beginnings can have peace of mind knowing that she will be totally supported in whatever parenting decision she chooses, whether it is to self-parent or make an adoption plan for her child.
